Church Covenant

Having been brought by divine grace to repent of our sins and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for our salvation, and having been baptized upon our public profession of faith in Him, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, we do now willingly and solemnly enter into a covenant with one another.

We will walk together in brotherly love, exercise an affectionate care and watchfulness over each other, and faithfully admonish and entreat one another according to Holy Scripture.

We will, by God’s help, seek to lead holy lives that appropriately reflect our redemption and salvation in Christ.

We will labor to build up the church by not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, by praying for ourselves and others, and by using the gifts of service God has graciously bestowed upon us. 

We will endeavor to make disciples of all nations, to bring up any under our care in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, and by a pure and loving example seek the salvation of our family and friends.

We will contribute cheerfully and regularly to support the ministries and expenses of this church such that its worship, ordinances, discipline, and doctrines might be preserved and continued.

We will work together for the unity of this body through prayer, a gracious and peaceful spirit, and faithfully abiding by its Constitution and Statement of Faith.

We will, when we move from this place, as soon as possible, unite with another church of like faith where we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word.
